Starting from Guizhou, Chongqing and other places to Vietnam, Dongxing City under the jurisdiction of Fangchenggang City is one of the land gateways. Dongxing City and Vietnam's Mang Street are only separated by a river. The people on both sides of the two countries are developing towards the side of the river, overlooking a city like the sky. Every day, multinational office workers, tourists, business people, and relatives come and go through the Beilun River Bridge.
Dongxing City is just across the river from Vietnam's Mang Market.
On March 19, 2019, China Dongxing-Vietnam Mangjie Port Beilunhe Second Bridge was opened. The physical customs clearance time of import and export goods at Dongxing Port has been greatly reduced. Beilun River Bridge becomes a cooperative bridge
Dongxing and Vietnam's Mang Street are only separated by a Beilun River. The Beilun River Bridge on the river connects the two places. In 1992, the State Council approved the establishment of the Dongxing Border Economic Cooperation Zone. The main areas of cooperation are mutual border trade, small border trade and tourism. At the same time, the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region approved the establishment of the Dongxing Development Zone.
For a time, ships on the Beilun River, the Sino-Vietnamese border trade trade and tourism shuttled on and off. On the highway from Dongxing to Nanning, there was a continuous stream of vehicles 24 hours a day. As an important node in China's ASEAN corridor, Dongxing Avenue is full of businessmen and tourists from all directions, and it has gradually prospered.
Two years later, the Beilunhe Bridge was rebuilt and opened. This bridge has more special meaning in the residents of Dongxing and Mangjie.
The construction of the Beilun River Bridge dates back to 1957, and was named "China-Vietnam Friendship Bridge" by China and Vietnam after its opening the following year. In the same year, the State Council approved the opening of Dongxing Port to the outside world. Its corresponding port is Mangjie Port in Vietnam. The Beilun River Bridge has become one of the important passages that open Guangxi.
In 1979, the China-Vietnam Friendship Bridge was blown up. With the gradual restoration of Sino-Vietnamese relations, the two sides negotiated to rebuild the bridge in 1992.
In 2003, the Central Committee decided to permanently settle the China-ASEAN Expo in Nanning, and Guangxi became a forefront and a major hub for opening up to ASEAN. Constructing an international corridor facing ASEAN, creating a new strategic fulcrum for the open and development of the southwest, central and southern regions, forming an important gateway for the 21st century maritime Silk Road and the economic integration of the Silk Road, has become the "three positionings" of Guangxi's open development.
"The new land, sea and sea corridor in the west has become a national strategy, and the responsibility of the Beilunhe Bridge is even greater." Gan Feng, deputy director of the Dongxing City Commercial and Port Management Bureau, said that the Beilunhe Bridge is not only a channel between the people in Dongxing and Mangjie. The ordinary bridge road also bears the common aspirations of openness, tolerance and peaceful development of the two countries.
Under these visions, the cooperation between Dongxing and Mount Street in labor service cooperation and tourism development has become closer.
Dongxing gathers multinational office workers
At around 9 am on November 14th, the 20-year-old Vietnamese girl Nguyen Thi Huai started walking from a rental house in Vietnam's Mang Street. Go through the border checkpoints of China and Vietnam every day. Is it troublesome? "In fact, the customs clearance is very fast. There is no complicated procedure for border inspection. Most of the time, the customs clearance is completed within one minute. It feels no different from working in Vietnam." Ruan Sihuai said.
For more than a year at work, Ruan's Chinese has improved greatly, and she has also used WeChat. She sometimes added WeChat friends with tourists, and some tourists later bought Vietnamese specialties from her through WeChat.
At 6 o'clock in the afternoon, the tourists gradually dispersed, and Ruan's Huaiqing cleared up the goods and left for work.
According to preliminary statistics, in Dongxing, there are about 2,200 Vietnamese transnational office workers like Nguyen Thi Huai. According to the data of the Dongxing Human Resources Department, since the start of the Sino-Vietnamese cross-border labor service pilot in July 2015, 146 domestic workers have applied for “Employment Qualification Certificates” and have the qualifications to employ Vietnamese workers; 37 human resources companies For the "Labor Service Operation Certificate", Vietnamese workers can be legally dispatched to enterprises with qualifications for employment.
In the first half of this year, the Dongxing Experimental Zone collected the labor demand of enterprises. Many enterprises intend to hire overseas border laborers, and the demand number is about 3,000. Wages in China are also better and more attractive than Vietnam. This means that in the future, more Vietnamese will travel to and from Beilun River Bridge every day like Nguyen Thi Huai and become one of the transnational office workers.
Interaction between the two places spurs cross-border tourism
At 10 am on November 14th, the crowd of people in Dongxing's immigration permit hall was surging, and many tourists were applying for border travel documents.
"Crossing the Beilun River from Dongxing to Vietnam, I would like to see the folk customs there." A tourist from Hunan, Li Ming, drove his family to Dongxing with his family, preparing to report to a day trip to Mang Street, Vietnam. .
Vietnam Street at Dongxing Port is the first stop for many tourists. Cashews, Maoshan durian sugar, dried vegetables, coconut crisps and other Vietnamese specialties make visitors dizzying. "The first time I stepped abroad, what impressed me most about Vietnam was fruit, which is cheap and delicious." Liu Wen, a tourist from Guizhou, said.
How hot is cross-border tourism? "Three people will be able to join a group. Passengers can sign up with a qualified travel agency with their ID cards. At present, the hottest tourist item in Dongxing is Vietnam One-Day Tour of Mang Street." The number of outbound tourists has increased significantly, mainly from Sichuan, Hunan, Guizhou and Northeast China.
"There have been many cross-border tourists recently, including procedures such as exit and border inspection, which can basically complete the exit process in 20 minutes." Dongxing Entry-Exit Border Inspection Station inspector said that during the peak passenger flow, the border inspection station will send additional staff To ensure smooth passenger clearance.
According to the electronic screen data of Dongxing Port, as of 11:10 on November 14, there were more than 10.47 million people entering and leaving the country this year. The number of arrivals at the sunrise was 7,455, of which 1,575 were Chinese border people, 1,119 were Vietnamese border people, 2,683 were Chinese tourists, and 2,078 were foreign tourists.

At present, there are more than 300 vehicles entering and leaving the country each day. The Beilun River Bridge increased by 50%. Goods such as shoe materials, machinery and equipment from Dongguan, Fujian and other places were sent to Vietnam, and a lot of Vietnamese agricultural and sideline products also continuously entered China.
The opening of the Beilunhe Second Bridge also brings new opportunities for accelerating the construction of Dongxing as a hub city for the new land, sea, and sea in the western region, and for building a new pattern of openness, passage, and development.
In front of the company registration counter in the customs declaration hall of the Beilunhe Second Bridge at Dongxing Port, more than a dozen salespersons are applying to the customs for company record registration. The operation process has been optimized and integrated, and the customs supervision operation has been advanced and moved forward, and the customs clearance of goods has been greatly accelerated. , Enterprise logistics costs are also effectively reduced.
According to Liu Weiwei, the head of Dongxing Customs Comprehensive Business Section, in the first three quarters of this year, the overall customs clearance time of Dongxing Customs was 0.55 hours, and the overall import clearance time was 5.35 hours, both faster than other ports in Guangxi.
"Convenient customs clearance conditions have attracted more foreign trade and customs declaration enterprises to settle in." Liu Weiwei said that in the first three quarters of this year, Dongxing Customs added 213 registered enterprises, an increase of 33.3% year-on-year.
